Open your Instagram or your LinkedIn, everywhere all you see is just courses, courses that promise you once you do it is going to change your life, I have seen people being so motivated by the adrenaline rush and once you get the access everything is just gone, things are just the same.
Now I am not blaming the courses here but the process and the content is written in such a way that makes us believe it is going to change everything, I have been a part of that as well and here are a few learnings of mine being inside the system and outside as well:
1. Nothing works until we actually execute:
Execution is everything after you have learnt. And mostly our rational mind stops us from execution because it tells us to wait till the thing is perfect and perfection is a myth, yes you can make it better over time but you would never know if the market needs your product until it’s out.
2. From where are you buying your courses?
20 years back, building authority was very difficult and now all it takes is an ad budget and a performance marketing campaign, there is so much information available even if you consume all, you won’t be done with it in this lifetime, don’t make an impulsive buying decision based on the landing page and retargeting, see if you really need the product.
Learn about your teacher
Everyone is a google search away, but most of the people refrain from doing that but it is your hard earn money and often time, I have learnt the best of things from people with a minimum social following
4. Make your own notes
If everything is done for you, would never do the hard work or actually learn. Nobody reads the free PDF, there is no value attached, making your own notes will help you execute better.
5. Trust yourself:
A lot of times we don’t trust ourselves. We are always thinking, is this the right time? Are we ready? Should we do it?
Trust yourself & execute.
You would know ;)
