The Unheard Psychology behind Apple's success

In their first year in business, with only one product, Apple made a million dollars in revenues. By year two, they did $10 million in sales. In their fourth year, they sold $100 million worth of computers. And in just six years, Apple Computer was a billion-dollar company with over 3,000 employees. Jobs and Woz were not the only people taking part in the personal computer revolution. They weren't the only smart guys in the business

When I did a poll on Instagram about what makes apple special for people, a lot of people shared valuable information about what is it that apple do that makes it special for them. From camera to the ecosystem people covered pretty much everything

But the question here is it’s not like Apple has access to the best engineers in the world or only Apple owns the best marketing team in the world. Every company has equal access to the people and ideas as apple but what is it about Apple that the entire world is crazy

You will get the answer when you will change the question a little, it’s not about what Apple does that makes it special, it’s about Why they do it that makes it special. The answer lies in ‘Thinking Different’ and empowering people.

What has made Apple special is a clear sense of Why they are in business and their ability to repeat the pattern over and over and over. Unlike many of its competitors, Apple has successfully challenged conventional thinking within the computer industry, the small electronics industry, the music industry, the mobile phone industry, and the broader entertainment industry.

In 1984, with just a few years in business apple challenged the giant IBM with an ad that changed the entire year which had a clear sense of their purpose that they wanted to empower individuals, When apple launched iTunes & iPod, they challenged the entire music industry, even though there were music devices before that nothing became as successful as iPod.

Even today Apple is consistent with their thought process, when the entire tech industry is finding out new ways to collect your data, apple is against the entire tech industry and they are saying we will protect your data from third-party apps, they are revolutionising the entire industry once again.

For those who are inspired, the motivation to act is deeply personal. They are less likely to be swayed by incentives. Those who are inspired are willing to pay a premium or endure inconvenience, even personal suffering. Those who can inspire will create a following of people—supporters, voters, customers, workers
